The old app was better
This app was reinvented to coincide with the intrduction of OS 3.0. The intended improvement is a deimprovement for viewers in North America. The news loads slowly , and starts spluttering and wheezing after less than two minutes. I no longer think of trying to download the longer news program. Image quality strikes me as being somewhat less sharp than with the old app. Some more work is definitely called for to improve an app that used to be one of my favourites. (And if there were an app for uitzending gemist, that would be nice , too!)
